License

Aquastat is provided by Junior Brito (brito.ai). You're granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service and the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which also applies to your use of the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Purchases & subscriptions

Aquastat offers an optional "Pro" upgrade as a one-time purchase or an auto-renewing subscription, sold through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your App Store account settings. Payment is charged to your Apple ID, and any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription. All billing is handled by Apple.

Acceptable use

Use Aquastat lawfully. Don't attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

Not professional advice

Aquastat provides general, rule-based guidance for aquarium keeping based on the readings you enter and curated reference ranges. It is offered for informational purposes only and is not veterinary or professional advice. You are responsible for the care of your animals and for verifying any action before taking it. We are not liable for outcomes affecting your livestock, plants, or equipment.

Your data

Your tanks and readings are stored on your device and in your private iCloud, as described in the Privacy Policy. You're responsible for keeping your own backups via iCloud.

Disclaimer of warranties

Aquastat is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, livestock, or profits, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.
