When you write in, it helps to include your device and OS version (e.g. iPhone 17 Pro, iOS 26.5), the tank type involved, and a short description of what you expected versus what happened.
Requirements
- iPhone / iPad: iOS 17 or later.
- Mac: macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later.
- An iCloud account is recommended so your tanks sync across devices, but not required.
Getting started
- Tap + to add a tank, pick the type that matches your setup, set the volume and the real setup date, then save.
- Open the Log tab to record a water test — enter any subset of parameters and leave the rest blank.
- The Overview tab shows your health verdict, cycle status, and what needs attention. History charts each parameter over time.
Understanding the cycle status
Aquastat reads your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate to estimate where your nitrogen cycle is. For an accurate read, log all three — especially while a new tank is cycling.
Sync & Pro
Tanks not syncing? Make sure both devices are signed into the same iCloud account with iCloud Drive enabled and connected to the internet.
Pro not unlocked on another device? Open Settings → Restore purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID and Family Sharing is supported.
What's free? Up to 2 tanks with the full feature set. Pro unlocks unlimited tanks, custom parameters, and export.
Privacy
Aquastat keeps your data on your device and in your private iCloud — we don't run servers that receive your tanks or readings. Read the full Privacy Policy.
